Wisteria Tendrils

Wisteria tendrils
This way and that –
Beauty has no beginning, no end.

So to discipline the heart
In the ways of heaven and earth,
A shower of blossom
The sky promising more rain later.

At some point in the night
We lost our fleshy bodies
Phoenix dancing in the flames
Sleeping late as a pair of doves.

The silence
Has been so long –
Cherries ripe to eat.

Clouds
The relief of rain.
Earthen scent
& buds swelling.

In the anticipation of waiting
Is loosened the sense of need,
Still bone and flesh to mould again
New forms, new stories, new paths
Slipping by desire and the changing climes.
